The Biel Hospital Center is the public center hospital of the bilingual Biel-Seeland-Berne Jura region. Are you interested in working alongside our 2,300 employees for the health of our population?

The purchasing department of the Biel Hospital Center is a central department within the Supply Chain Services and the Facility Management Directorate. Our goal is to further develop purchasing into a centrally operating and strategically oriented unit that professionally manages and manages all relevant procurement topics at the Biel Hospital Center. For this exciting further development, we are looking for a committed and experienced personality as soon as possible or by agreement.

• You take over the professional and personnel management of purchasing and continuously develop the area together with your team.
• They ensure the needs-based, economical and sustainable procurement of all consumer goods, capital goods and services for hospital operations.
• They initiate and control challenging procurement projects taking into account public procurement law and conduct challenging negotiations with suppliers and business partners.
• You will further develop strategic commodity group management and develop and implement suitable procurement and sourcing strategies.
• They identify savings and optimization potentials, analyze relevant procurement data and thus create a sound basis for decision-making for the company.
• They maintain and develop strategic supplier relationships, observe market and procurement trends and ensure professional cooperation with internal and external stakeholders.

• They have completed basic training as well as higher education in the field of purchasing, procurement or supply chain management. They bring leadership experience as well as experience in strategic purchasing and ideally sound knowledge in public procurement.
• You have experience in managing procurement projects, in challenging negotiations, and in developing and implementing procurement strategies.
• They are characterized by a pronounced decision-making and organizational ability as well as a structured and solution-oriented working method.
• You are a committed, initiative and entrepreneurial personality and enjoy actively developing purchasing in a changing environment.
• They have good business knowledge and are confident in the preparation and interpretation of analyses, evaluations and statistics.
• They communicate stylishly in German or French in word and writing, have a good knowledge of the other language and convince with their pronounced social and communication skills and negotiating skills.
