Role overview

  • Responsible for the strategic orientation and further development of the messaging and communications services product portfolio at Defence Platform and ensuring their long-term operational capability
  • Design the service portfolio, develop product and service descriptions and ensure the needs-based further development of the offered services
  • Assume economic responsibility for the assigned products, create business cases, TCO calculations and accounting models, and prepare investment and lifecycle decisions
  • Implement lifecycle, capacity and modernization planning as well as identify and control risks from technology detachments, manufacturer strategies and regulatory requirements at an early stage
  • Ensure agile product control, promote cross-divisional cooperation and effectively bring together different stakeholders from business, architecture, security and operations
  • Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Telecommunications (HF/FH/Uni) and several years of experience in the strategic product management of IT services
  • In-depth knowledge of messaging and communication platforms, in particular Microsoft Exchange and mail security solutions such as FortiMail, as well as VoIP, SIP protocols and highly available communication networks
  • Demonstrable experience in the definition, control and further development of service portfolios as well as in the design of product and service catalogues
  • Several years of experience in the strategic lifecycle, capacity and roadmap planning of complex IT platforms
  • Strong communication, moderation and stakeholder management capabilities, as well as awareness of sensitive infrastructure and telephony security
  • Good knowledge of two official languages and good knowledge of English
