You have been working as a specialist for one or two years and now want to take on more responsibility without regularly spending your nights in the hospital? In this position, you remain diagnostically broad and bring your previous experience into a manageable radiology with short technical paths. In this function, you remain a radiological all-rounder: CT, MRI and conventional X-ray are just as much a part of your everyday life as ultrasound, Doppler and vascular examinations. You can contribute your experience with interventional basic procedures and gradually expand them. The established institute is part of an acute care hospital in the region of Bern and provides care for outpatient and inpatient patients. In addition, several external practice locations are maintained. As a result, you can expect a versatile range of examinations with predictable questions as well as acute and emergency diagnostics. You will become part of an experienced medical team with a chief physician, several senior physicians, around six senior physicians and few assistant physicians. Direct professional exchange, short decision-making paths and mutual support characterise cooperation. The current service model does not provide for night services. Approximately once a week you take on a late service until 10 p.m. and start the following day later.

Their tasks

• Independent diagnosis of CT, MRI and conventional X-ray examinations
• Independent performance of ultrasound examinations including Doppler and vascular sonography
• Radiological care for outpatients and inpatients
• Possibility to participate in interventional procedures, depending on your previous experience and interest
• Presentation and discussion of radiological findings at reports, tumor boards and other interdisciplinary conferences
• Supervision and professional guidance of assistant doctors
• Participation in the structured further education and professional development of the department

Your Competences

• Radiology, German or EU-recognized, we support you in the recognition
• Ideally, one to two years of professional experience according to the specialist title
• Safe diagnosis in CT, MRI and conventional radiology
• Experience in sonography
• Enjoying the interdisciplinary cooperation and the further education of younger colleagues
• Very good knowledge of German in word and writing
