• Active cooperation in monitoring and ensuring quality in the broadest sense
• Organisation and implementation of certification audits and internal audits
• Responsibility for HACCP in terms of processes and products
• Preparation and implementation of sample and control plans for products and hygiene
• Release of new product development and recipe changes
• Preparation and implementation of internal training in the areas of quality, hygiene and food law
• Management of quality improvement projects
• Willingness to travel occasionally to our other Mérat locations in Switzerland if necessary.

Requirements

• At least 5 years: professional experience in quality assurance, in the food industry and in a management position
• Completed degree (uni/ETH, FH, HF): study or training in food technology, food chemistry or similar
• German (fluent) French (good knowledge): German as a mother tongue, ideally with good knowledge in French
• You are a committed leader with a strong organizational talent and keep an overview even in challenging situations
• You have in-depth knowledge of food legislation and relevant quality and certification standards
• You communicate clearly, convincingly and at eye level and understand how to sensitize and train employees for quality and hygiene topics
• You enjoy working across departments and maintain a trusting cooperation with internal and external partners
• You act solution-oriented, pragmatic and with a high quality awareness
• Personal responsibility, assertiveness and team spirit distinguish you

Recruitment process

• Pre-selection of applications: We check applications received on an ongoing basis, create a pre-selection and release them to the manager for viewing. The decision on progress or withdrawal from the recruitment process will be communicated by telephone or email. Duration to feedback: Up to three weeks
• Talks with HR & department: The interview is conducted virtually or on site with the responsible person from HR and/or the specialist department. It is primarily about learning more about the personnel and specialist skills and gives both sides the opportunity to assess the cultural fit into the company and team. Duration to feedback: Up to three weeks
• Personality/performance test: Under certain conditions, we use a personality test (BIP, Scales test, etc.) as an additional step to support selection. The results of the test may be discussed personally and form the basis for further selection. Duration to feedback: Up to one week
• Final discussion before contract issuance: Before the contract is issued, we hold a final discussion in order to clarify open questions of both sides and to regulate contractual details. If all points are clarified, the written offer follows. Duration to feedback: Up to one week
• Offer & Contract Exhibition (Digital): After our oral job offer, the most important contract points are verified again. After agreement, the contract is commissioned and sent for digital signature by e-mail. Duration to feedback: Up to one week
