Are you interested in shaping the long-term development of the army and the defence group? Do you have a good knowledge of the Swiss army, are an engaging leader person coupled with strong rhetoric and have the ability to represent architecture-based decision-making principles at the upper management levels in a manner appropriate to the recipient? Located in the Army Staff, you and your specialized team will be responsible for the governance, expert management and support of the cross-domain and cross-discipline corporate architecture in the Defence group and translate strategic intentions into implementable designs.

You can make this contribution

• Professionally, human and financially manage the corporate architecture sector across the five federal offices of the Swiss Army in the various architectural sectors (military ICT, civilian ICT, armaments and digital transformation)

• Responsible for the management of corporate architecture for the entire Defence Group, involving the partners; overarching management of domain and business unit architectures

• Shape and take responsibility for the governance, processes and products of the architecture as well as create the foundations and guidelines for the projects

• Develop architectural specifications and guidelines for action coordinated with the strategy and business requirements and contribute them to the responsible management bodies

• Manage internal, external and international stakeholders (e.g. industrial partners) of the architecture defense and communicate the content of the architecture in favor of the "Federated Mission Networking"

This makes them unique.

• University or university of applied sciences degree with computer science and business administration specialization, good knowledge in the field of (company) architecture and analysis as well as very good knowledge of military structures and processes

• Proven several years of leadership experience in corporate architecture and its methods in large organizations

• Ability to communicate complex issues in a clear, structured and addressable manner and to combine different interests

• Very good methodological competence (e.g. TOGAF, HERMES, project or program management certifications such as IPMA/MAS) and further education and experience in business analysis

• Good active knowledge of at least one second official language and passive knowledge of a third official language and very good knowledge of English (C1)

Your commitment to security and freedom The Army Staff (A Staff) supports the Chief of the Army in the leadership of the Departmental Department of Defence and is responsible for the overall military planning and development of the Swiss Army. Here, in accordance with the political guidelines, the strategic foundations, the armed forces development and the army and armaments planning are developed and tasks in the international security context are performed. The command, control and coordination of all cross-cutting areas (personnel, finance, real estate) also fall under the responsibility of the Army Staff.
