Portrait The gibb Vocational School Bern is a vocational school of the Canton of Bern. We teach around 7,000 young people in more than 60 commercial-industrial professions and train around 1,000 professionals in higher vocational training (HBB). In addition, we carry out the bridge offers Pre-apprenticeship and BPI (Professional Preparatory School Year Practice and Integration).

Tasks

As one of two class teachers, you are responsible for teaching in a BPI-1 class.

You teach adolescents and young adults in general subjects with a focus on language acquisition. In addition to the professional content, the choice of career and the promotion of social skills as well as the strengthening of self-efficacy are at the center of the BPI classes.

You supervise and accompany the learners as a class teacher and mostly teach in team teaching.

Requirements

You have a teaching diploma for secondary school I or II. Ideally, bring You also have knowledge of curative education and/or German as a second language (DaZ) as well as experience working with young migrants. Experience in accompanying learners in the career selection process is an advantage. You are interested in further training as a language tester or already have this qualification.
