Portrait Since 1890 we have been the centre for people, profession and business. We offer the Bernese Oberland more than education, for a lifetime. Our vocational school comprises 23 professions from the fields of construction, timber, technology, gastronomy & hospitality, health, social and economics. At our four locations, around 2000 learners are currently taught by over 120 teachers. For a smooth run in the school, employees are involved in the administration, in the technical support of the IT infrastructure and in domestic service.

The Department of Continuing Education and Counselling covers the areas of adult education, integration, teacher training and counselling as well as support and accompanying.

For our German courses for migrants in Interlaken (young adults 17-25 years old) and Ringgenberg (adults), we are looking for retirement from 1. February 2027 or by agreement committed person(s) as

Tasks

– You give German lessons at levels A0 to B1 according to GER – You record, assess and document language statuses and learning progress – You contribute to the further development of our learning opportunities – You work constructively with the class team and other participants – You carry the values and attitudes of our organization and live them in everyday work

Requirements

Teaching diploma at primary or secondary level I – Certificate language course management in the integration area (fide) or another additional training in the area of German as a second language (DAZ) is advantageous Experience in migration or integration is beneficial Openness to different cultures, patience and flexibility – Joy of working with people from different cultures and living environments
