Role overview
We are looking for a motivated and customer-oriented Legal Counsel for our Legal Team in Zurich, which supports the non-life insurance and reinsurance business, with a focus on the Specialty Lines CH & International, Active Reinsurance and Group Reinsurance.

- Legal advice for the market units Specialty Lines CH & International, Active Reinsurance and Group Reinsurance
- Audit, design and negotiation of non-life insurance and reinsurance contracts, including optional and mandatory reinsurance
- Well-founded knowledge in contract law; experience in property and reinsurance law is of benefit
- Very good German and English skills in word and writing; other languages are of benefit The Helvetia team is there together when it comes to it.
Main responsibilities
- Legal advice for the market units Specialty Lines CH & International, Active Reinsurance and Group Reinsurance
- Audit, design and negotiation of non-life insurance and reinsurance contracts, including optional and mandatory reinsurance
- Support for international and cross-border projects, product development and claims management
- Advice on regulatory and compliance issues related to non-life insurance and reinsurance Close cooperation with the areas
- Under-Patch, Damage Management, Risk Management, Compliance, Finance and other internal stakeholders
- Coordination and management of external legal advisers in Switzerland and abroad
- Participation in the development and maintenance of internal legal guidelines, contract standards and processes Requirements: Legal degree (master level or equivalent); Admission as a lawyer is advantageous
- 3–5 years of professional experience as a legal counsel or lawyer, ideally in the field of non-life insurance and/or reinsurance International
- (Anglosächsische) Erfahrung, in particular in cross-border insurance business or projects
- Expressed analytical skills as well as a pragmatic, solution-oriented way of thinking
