Intercultural interpreters

For interpreting on site, the interpreting service Comprendi immediately or by agreement for the language SOMALICS They form a language bridge with the necessary cultural and social background in communication between migrants and public authorities in the health, social and educational sectors in the canton of Bern.

Their tasks

As an intercultural interpreter, you are responsible for ensuring that correct and complete interpretation between conversation partners from different backgrounds is possible. You pay attention to the cultural, ethical and social backgrounds, with the aim of facilitating communication and equal access to services.

Our requirements

• Her mother tongue is Somali
• You are at least 25 years old
• You have very good knowledge of German (level C1, at least level B2 of the European reference system)
• have completed vocational training and good general education;
• Ideally, you already have experience in oral interpretation
• You have the certificate INTERPRET or are interested in acquiring it
• You live in the canton of Bern and have access to Internet / e-mail and have a mobile phone and PC / laptop
• Your strengths include responsibility, reliability, punctuality, flexibility, discretion and good administrative skills
