Portrait 175 pupils are taught at Lauterbrunnental School from kindergarten or basic level to ninth grade at our three locations in Wengen, Lauterbrunnen and Mürren. At all three locations, day schools and school social work complement the school offer. In the preschool area, the community of Lauterbrunnen organizes play groups and a day care center.

Our school has set itself a goal: We want to experience our home with all our senses. Together with the children, we go out, discover the peculiarities of our surroundings, question, research and wonder. For us, education for sustainable development (ESD) means: not only collecting knowledge, but taking responsibility. Because only what you know and close in the heart, you also want to preserve. This is how our students learn: inside step by step.

Tasks

In the field of IF, we attach great importance to resource-oriented and student-centred support: We orientate ourselves to their interests and strengths in order to be able to support them successfully. The aim is to increasingly accompany the students to self-directed, intrinsically motivated learning, to the development of potential and to independence.

• They teach one half-day each in the Lauterbrunnen lower school and in the multi-year class kindergarten up to the third school year in Mürren
• They accompany students with learning and behavioral difficulties in class or separately in small groups.
• They perceive the child holistically and respond to their needs.
• In agreement with the LP, they adapt the learning material to individual needs (quantity, presentation, content, etc.) or prepare the corresponding learning material themselves.
• Together with the students, they develop individual methods in the areas of learning and behavioral strategies.
• They can reflect on their work with the students, adapt it to the current situation and provide an oral or written report.
• They work closely with the administrative management IF and the KLP regarding diagnostics and promotion.
• They perform tests (Basic Math, SLRTII).
• They participate in location discussions with parents.
• They participate in the IF team meetings and special lessons sessions.

Requirements

• You have an education as a curative/medical teacher or a comparable qualification.
• They like to work independently and in a team.
• They are open to respond to the needs of the students and bring their pedagogical interest and creativity into the promotion.
