For a long-term and technologically demanding transformation program, we are looking for several experienced Senior Workplace, VDI & Application Lifecycle Engineers for our customer from Bern.

Do you want to actively develop modern workplace solutions and ensure that end users have stable, safe and efficient working environments at all times? Whether virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), client engineering or application lifecycle management: In this project, we need them all.

Depending on your experience, you will focus on either VDI and virtual workplace solutions, client and endpoint engineering or application lifecycle management and software packaging. Together, it ensures that modern workplace solutions are operated reliably, continuously developed and efficiently provided.

Your tasks

• Provision, configuration and further development of modern workplace, client and VDI solutions
• Operation and lifecycle management of virtual workstations, devices and client platforms
• Packaging, deployment and updating of applications and support for standardized software deployment
• Planning, execution and automation of functional, integration, compatibility, performance and security tests
• Ensuring stable operation through incident, problem, change, patch and release management
• Creation and maintenance of operational, system and configuration documentation as well as management of software catalogues
• Evaluation of new software versions and coordination of releases and lifecycle activities
• Collaboration with architecture, engineering and operations teams to continuously optimize workplace services

Your profile

• Several years of experience as Workplace Engineer, Client Engineer, VDI Engineer, Endpoint Engineer, Application Lifecycle Manager or in a comparable role
• Experience in the operation and further development of workplace, client or VDI environments
• Knowledge of one or more of the areas of endpoint management, virtual desktop infrastructure, software packaging, software deployment or application lifecycle management
• Experience with testing, quality assurance and automation benefits
• Understanding operational processes as well as incident, change, patch or release management
• Structured and solution-oriented working method with a high quality standard
• Enjoy working with different stakeholders and technical teams
• Very good knowledge of German
• Proper reputation is mandatory
