Digital & Technology is responsible for the governance and management of the information systems of the Biel Hospital Center and its subsidiaries and aligns them with the institution’s strategy. To supplement our team, we are looking for an immediately or by agreement
ICT System Specialist (VDI) & Microsoft Cloud 100%

Operation & Continuous Improvement (Run)
- Level 2: Processing of tickets, diagnosis and correction of common disruptions on the virtualization infrastructures VDI Omnissa Horizon, Workspace ONE, Windows and Linux
- Daily monitoring of subordinate infrastructures, monitoring and handling of infrastructure warnings, review of reports, correction of common errors and escalation of complex cases
- Operation and ongoing management of the Omnissa Horizon VDI environment: maintenance work, patching and performance monitoring
- Administration of the VMware vSphere and Workspace ONE platforms and monitoring of their proper operation
- Administration of the Microsoft 365 environment, with particular emphasis on Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and SharePoint Online
- Management and administration of the strong authentication solution Imprivata
- Coordination with the network team to integrate network needs into the server and virtualization infrastructures that fall under its own responsibility
- Implementation and monitoring of cybersecurity policies in cooperation with the Cyber Security Department
- Technical maintenance, security and continuous development of the subordinate IT infrastructure
- Active participation in projects related to the modernisation, automation and optimisation of these infrastructures and services
- Participation in the Pikettdienst according to operational planning
Documentation and Quality
- Preparation and maintenance of detailed documentation of the infrastructures in French or German
- Preparation of technical documentation in English
- Compliance with the defined escalation processes in the event of disturbances that cannot be resolved at level 2
- Implementation of cyber security policies and rules and reporting of identified non-conformities

- Computer science training (EFC, teaching or equivalent)
- Proven experience in IT support at Level 2 and/or in system and infrastructure administration, ideally in a hospital environment
- In-depth knowledge of VDI virtualization with Omnissa Horizon and administration of VMware vSphere
- Good knowledge of installation and administration of Windows and Linux servers
- Good knowledge of the Microsoft 365 environment, in particular Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and SharePoint Online
- Experience in the administration of Workspace ONE
- Knowledge of the strong authentication solution Imprivata is an advantage
- Knowledge of Fortinet security solutions (FortiGate, FortiAuthenticator, FortiMail)
- Sensitivity to cybersecurity issues and good knowledge of the relevant best practices
- Medium to advanced knowledge of PowerShell scripting
- Cooperation in updating and maintaining the monitoring system WhatsUp Gold
- Strong teamwork and good communication skills
- Ability to handle defined tasks independently and work closely with the employees of Digital & Technology
- Careful, reliable and service-oriented workflow
- native language German or French, with good knowledge of the other language
- Good basic knowledge of technical English
