Your sphere of activity

We are expanding our ICT team and looking for dedicated support in the area of infrastructure & services. In the role of ICT System Engineer Network, you ensure the stable operation and continuous development of our network Together with a well-established ICT team, specialists from medicine and care as well as external partners and manufacturers, you consistently develop our network and security landscape – sustainable, highly available and secure, as a reliable foundation for everyday clinical life. Everyday work is varied, demanding and makes an important contribution to the smooth functioning of our hospital.

• Operation, maintenance and further development of our entire network infrastructure
• (LAN, WLAN, WAN, perimeter) based on HPE Aruba and FortiGate
• Ensuring a high-availability, high-performance and secure network environment for
• 24/7 hospital operation
• Implementation of changes and maintenance windows (evening, marginal times, selective weekends)
• Development, planning and consistent implementation of new network and security concepts, in particular zone and segmentation concepts, site-to-site VPN, wireless design and firewall policies
• Self-responsible management of technical projects, from analysis to design to rollout incl. Coordination of internal stakeholders and external partners
• Participation in larger projects and projects as sub-project management
• 3rd-level troubleshooting, clean monitoring and maintenance of up-to-date, robust documentation
• Active monitoring of the market and introducing new technologies and solutions (e.g. SD-WAN, NAC, ZTNA, automation) into our roadmap
• Close cooperation with the adjacent infrastructure and application teams
• You understand their world, but consciously carry the network responsibility

What distinguishes you

• Completed computer science training (EFZ, HF/FH or equivalent)
• Several years of experience in the Windows client environment with in-depth know-how in the enterprise network
• In-depth practical experience with FortiGate firewalls (certification NSE 4 or higher beneficial) as well as HPE Aruba Switching and Wireless (ACMA/ACMP, ACSA/ACSP beneficial)
• In-depth knowledge of switching, routing, WLAN architectures, VLAN design, site-to-site VPN as well as firewalling and perimeter security
• Experience in the design and implementation of zone concepts and network segmentation in complex, regulated environments
• Solid understanding of the adjacent infrastructure (server, virtualization, directory services, client/medical connection). You think comprehensively and recognize connections beyond the network plate edge
• Experience in managing (sub)projects. You plan cleanly, communicate clearly and bring topics to a binding conclusion
• Strong security awareness. Especially in a sensitive hospital environment with patient data and business-critical applications
• Readiness to take over regular piketting operations
