Role overview

The Office for Computer Science and Organization (AIO) is the competence center for digitalization and technology in the canton of Solothurn. It implements computer science projects, advises and supports the departments and ensures the operation and maintenance of the central IT and communication systems. For the Management Systems / GRC department, we are looking for an ICT system specialist, 80-100%, immediately or by agreement at the Solothurn site.

  • In this demanding and varied position, your main tasks are primarily monitoring and continuously improving IT security in the security operations area (SoC), analyzing and handling security incidents (Security Incident Management), as well as actively monitoring and technically assessing security threats, the effectiveness of security measures taken and initiating appropriate protection measures.
  • In addition, cantonal IT projects in the field of information technology/cyber security are expertly accompanied.
  • In addition to operational activities, strategic and conceptual work is of key importance. This includes creating clear requirements specifications regarding ICT security – such as policies and concepts – and defining measurable security goals on this basis.
  • An essential component is also the active participation in the further development of the Cantonal Information Security Management System (ISMS) in accordance with the standard ISO 27001.
  • For this demanding position, you will bring in-depth training in the field of technology: Ideally, you will have higher vocational training (e.g. Eidg). Diploma as ICT Security Expert, MAS/CAS in Information Security) or alternatively a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics or Cyber Security of an ETH, university or university of applied sciences.
  • You can look back on at least 3-5 years of sound operational practice in IT security and have a CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) certification.
  • Additional qualifications such as the CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional), vendor-specific cloud security certificates (e.g. Azure Security) and a CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) for pentesting are of great advantage.
  • Negotiable knowledge of German is mandatory for the daily exchange in the official environment, while knowledge of English is primarily important for the understanding of technical documentation.
