Role overview
- collaborates with the inspector/trice in the management of the inspectorate ensuring equity of action on the whole territory of the surrounding area according to cantonal indications
- exercises the psychopedagogical and organizational direction of the regional pedagogical support group ensuring coordination and ensuring relations with other school operators, specialist services and external bodies. The management of the regional group can be carried out in collaboration with another group leader or independently depending on the internal organization of the service and/or according to the indications of the Section
- decides on admission/admission to/from the service of pupils and students
- assists teachers and operators by monitoring their work and exercising supervision over the activities of members of the group by means of visits and personal interviews
- (at the request of the inspector) the decisions of the inspectorates and the directorates of the institution concerning pupils and students followed by the service
- takes care personally if necessary, cases requiring special interventions, cares for relations with families and reports to other agencies or services the situations that arise from the competences of the pedagogical support service
- performs administrative practices related to the activities of support teachers, logopaedists, psychomotricians and other professional figures
- collaborates on the promotion of the study plan as well as the implementation of the innovation projects of the compulsory school
- Comprehensive academic training (bachelor and master or license) in the field of education or psychology
- in-depth knowledge of the Ticino and Swiss educational system, with particular focus on childhood school and elementary school
