Role overview
As a field service engineer at HITACHI ENERGY LTD, you take on a practical and responsible role in the energy supply of the country.
In this position, you will play a key role in ensuring and continuously improving the reliability and service life of our power transformers throughout Switzerland.
In addition, you will be motivated to participate in internal workshops and training courses for transformer assembly as well as in field operations – including structured onboarding and further training at the Hitachi Energy plants.

- You can achieve this by carrying out installations as well as preventive and corrective maintenance work, inspections and overhauls on power transformers according to internal procedures Applying and enforcing the safety standards of Hitachi Energy in all missions Planning, coordination and optimization of field service missions to ensure efficiency and quality Advice to customers regarding technical issues and optimization possibilities, as well as training of customer personnel in handling our plants Creating service reports and documentation after each deployment Continuous training and updating the specialist knowledge of our new plants and technologies Active participation in continuous improvements within the service organization Your background Completed technical training in mechanics, electrical engineering or a related field (e.g. locksmith, mechanic, polymechanic, automatician) Strong sense of responsibility and high sensitivity for safety requirements Several years of relevant professional experience in field service in the area of service or maintenance of large plants, ideally desirable knowledge in the energy industry of electrical cabling and wiring diagrams, as well as welding knowledge of advantage Readiness for longer missions within Switzerland (at least 1 week) Good German language skills in Knowledge of French is a plus.
