Introduction

For our Research & Development department, we are looking for a trainee whose main task will be to assess the impact of a machining process on the microstructure and mechanical properties of the material, as well as the functional performance in motion of a watchmaker component.

Responsibilities

• Perform the state of the art of the effects of machining on microstructure and material properties
• Characterize the microstructure and mechanical properties of the material
• Characterizing the topography of machined surfaces
• Analyze the moving test data of the machined component and correlate them with the characteristics of the machining process
• Write a final report

Profile

• Currently in Master of Materials, Mechanical, Microtechnic or deemed equivalent
• Available for 6 months at 100%, from October 2026 or February 2027
• Experience in material characterization (metallography, optical microscopy, MEB, identification, profiling)
• With analytical capabilities
• Autonomous and proactive ·ive
