Do you want more than just driving? In this role, you will accompany new and modernized locomotives from the first tests to the successful commissioning. With your know-how, you ensure that our vehicles are on the road reliably and that goods are transported safely through Switzerland and across the Alps.

This is waiting for you

• Plan and conduct test drives for internal and external clients: conduct independently
• Accompany acceptances and transfers of locomotives and get new vehicles safely on the track
• Support the team in driving and operating issues
• Help train drivers: inside and workshop staff in the event of disruptions, by phone or directly on site
• Provide the relevant operational data (RUs) and maintain the information exchange systems between operations and maintenance
• Be on the road regularly in the driver’s cab and keep your driving practice in freight traffic up to date

This is what you bring with you

• Several years of experience as a train driver: in Kat. B, ideally in freight transport or in the context of test and acceptance journeys
• Broad amenity service know-how and in-depth knowledge of modern locomotives
• The ability to think ahead with complex test sequences and keep an overview even in demanding situations
• Flexibility for operations at different times of the day and margins
• Organizational talent, perseverance and the ability to successfully coordinate different stakeholders

About the BLS Cargo

We can't move mountains, of course. It doesn't matter. Because as experienced mountaineers: In rail freight transport, we see mountains as a challenge and not as an obstacle.
