- Perform daily animal husbandry in mice in isolator and isocage systems (ABSL1 and ABSL2)
- Regular health inspection and assessment of animals in accordance with applicable directives
Main responsibilities
- Perform daily animal husbandry in mice in isolator and isocage systems (ABSL1 and ABSL2)
- Regular health inspection and assessment of animals in accordance with applicable directives
- Mating, breeding and care of associated mouse lines
- Supply of insulators with sterile material and carrying out sterile imports and transfers
- Professional and sterile export of animals from insulators for scientific reuse
- Documentation and data collection in the field of animal husbandry, hygiene and equipment Support for embryo transfer processes
- Sampling according to applicable guidelines (e.g. microbiological control samples and genetic analyses)
- Cleaning, disinfection and preparation work to ensure hygiene status (cages, bottles, connectors, equipment, laboratory utensils and equipment) Collaboration and exchange with scientists Requirements
- Completed training as an ECZ (specialist of experimental animals) or equivalent qualification
- Experience in the care and care of experimental animals and in practical animal husbandry
