Your responsibilities

• Excellent teaching: Conducting courses in macroscopic anatomy and histology, and tutorials for the degree programs in human and dental medicine
• Examinations: Participation in oral examinations, preparation of examination questions
• Research option: Opportunity to participate in research projects and work on own projects

Requirements

• A completed university degree in human medicine with a completed doctorate
• Several years of substantial and demonstrable teaching experience in the field of gross anatomy
• Strong enthusiasm for higher education teaching and pedagogical skill
• Organizational skills for teaching operations, reliability, and strong teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and flexibly, reliability, teamwork skills, and a strong sense of responsibility
• Very good spoken and written German and English skills for teaching in an international environment

About us The Institute of Anatomy at the University of Bern is part of the Faculty of Medicine and has a teaching mandate in the degree programs in human and dental medicine, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Biomedical Sciences, and veterinary medicine, as well as in the education and continuing education of specialist and assistant physicians, biomedical engineers, and in paramedical education and continuing education (physiotherapy, laboratory schools, etc.). Ten independent but highly collaborative working groups conduct biomedical research in the fields of didactic morphology, developmental biology and regeneration, Imaging Facility, lung biology, mucociliary clearance, Micro(angio)-CT, microscopic anatomy and structural biology, molecular neuroinfectiology, nanotechnology, and angiogenesis and cancer.
