As the largest, certified small hospital for specialized palliative care in the canton of Bern and a cooperation partner of Inselspital, the Biel Hospital, Hirslanden Bern and the UPD, the Diaconis Palliative Care team takes care of terminally ill people in need of hospital treatment. An interprofessional care and treatment team consisting of doctors, nurses, psychosocial care, pastoral care, physiotherapy, music therapy and social work ensures individual, comprehensive support and treatment with the aim of the best possible quality of life for patients and their relatives. Your tasks with us
- Holistic care and care of patients with complex, incurable and progressive diseases during the night
- Collection, planning, implementation and evaluation of the individual care process
- Identification, assessment and treatment of stressful symptoms in interprofessional cooperation
- Promoting and maintaining the best possible quality of life taking into account the individual needs, values and wishes of patients
- Accompaniment of relatives during illness and during the death phase and support in the farewell process
- Ensuring high-quality care and compliance with guidelines, standards and hygiene measures
- Active participation in interprofessional reports, case meetings, supervision and training
- Reflection of one’s own actions as well as continuous professional and personal development
