The operation area is a complex and dynamic environment in which the quality of care, patient safety, efficiency of operations and interprofessional cooperation must always be reconciled. In this central function, you ensure the operational coordination of the operation of the operating room and actively contribute to the smooth running of the processes, the optimal use of resources and the quality of care. You do.
- Coordinate the day-to-day operation programme.
- Manage changes to the program throughout the day and inform affected operating rooms and staff.
- Plan emergencies according to their priority.
- Coordinate the interfaces between the operating room and the various clinics.
- Mutual representation with the current Operation Coordinator
- Coordination of programme completion and transition to standby.
- Contact person for the departments of the hospital outside the operating room.
- Ensure optimal use of available spaces and resources.
- Monitoring of usage times and participating in improving the efficiency of the operating room.
- Identify and reduce inefficient workflows.
- Ensure compliance with procedures, in particular with regard to hygiene and patient safety.
- Control the quality of the documentation of the various stages of the operation.
- Monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs).
