Naturex AG, a company of the Givaudan Group, is a world-leading supplier of high-quality fruit and vegetable powders for the food and baby food industry. At our production sites Bischofszell (TG) and Burgdorf (BE), we combine the highest quality standards with sustainable and innovative solutions – for customers all over the world.

For our laboratory in Burgdorf we are looking for you as Quality Assurance & Sample Technician (m/f/d). In this versatile function, you carry out chemical-physical analyses on raw materials, additives and auxiliary materials as well as on intermediate and final products for the production of fruit and vegetable powders and thus make an important contribution to ensuring our high quality standards.

Your tasks

• Conducting chemico-physical analyses and sensory assessments of raw materials, additives and auxiliary materials as well as intermediate and final products
• Carrying out and managing microbiological analyses, processing samples and carrying out weekly hygiene monitoring including swabs.
• Sampling, preparation, distribution, provision and management of samples throughout the analytical process
• Independent calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment in its own work area
• Assuming general administrative tasks related to laboratory infrastructure, such as the management of chemicals, consumables and disposal
• Collaboration in the development and optimization of analysis methods
• Organisation and dispatch of samples
• Readiness for occasional night and weekend assignments for sampling and swab sampling

Your profile

• Professional experience in the food industry
• laboratory and analytical experience
• Knowledge of sensor technology is an advantage
• Precise and efficient working methods with a high level of hygiene awareness according to specified specifications and quality standards
• Good computer skills and practical experience in dealing with Microsoft Excel
• Independent, reliable and responsible personality
• Strong teamwork and good organizational skills
• Very good German skills in word and writing, English skills are advantageous
