Role overview

Assume overall responsibility for the Directorate of Resources and Security (Human Resources, Education and Training, Finance, Law, Security, Infrastructure, Intelligence Production Support, Information Transmission, Data Quality and Logistics) and ensure efficient, secure and economical service delivery.

Application process

  • Responsible for internal legislation, application of law and legal advice as well as monitoring and training of lawful data processing and information transmission.
  • Ensure budget and financial planning as well as accounting, payment processing, financial controlling and financial reporting.
  • Providing a modern infrastructure including maintenance, conversions and expansions and responsible for infrastructure projects.

Company and context

  • Ensure holistic basic protection and security of the organization and its employees
  • Responsible for the strategic and operational planning, control and execution of all HR processes and ensure the ongoing, intensive training and further education of employees in the theory and practice of intelligence work through exclusive content and formats.
  • University degree or equivalent education with FH degree EMBA or sound police career with at least ten years of professional experience, preferably in a security-oriented organization.
  • Leadership personality with assertiveness, negotiating skills, visionary thinking and interdisciplinary expertise.
  • Teamplayer, as a member of the Executive Board jointly responsible for strategic management.
  • Experienced and proven in the strategic and operational management of a complex unit in a dynamic and volatile environment (at least ten years).
  • Excellent understanding of the political, legal, ethical and technological challenges of an intelligence service.
  • Very good knowledge of the political conditions at the level of Bund.
  • Experience in managing complex projects with a track record.
  • High resilience, decision-making and implementation, planning and organizational ability.
