Role overview
Tasks
- Monitoring of the (cyber)crime situation as well as coordination of series of crimes within the framework of tactical crime analysis
- Evaluating and preparing data and information, recognizing patterns and relationships as well as developing recommendations for action.
- Complex analyses/evaluations using specialized software
- Active participation in the further development of crime analysis through the use of new methods, innovative technologies and data-based approaches (e.g. in the field of monitoring serial cybercrime).
- Operation of an intercantonal analysis platform (PICAR NW)
- Cooperation in the day-to-day business of the Service Situation and Analysis
Requirements
- A completed degree in criminal science, data science or in a comparable subject area; or
- a completed police training as a policewoman/policeman with sed. Specialist card and targeted further development in the field of criminal and data sciences, ideally at level BSc/MSc.
- Experience in criminal analysis or data science is advantageous
- Strong analytical thinking and sense of connections
