UniBE is typically Bern.We expect you to have an appreciative culture and a healthy working environment. Tasks: • Assistance with applicable teaching and research tasks of the PA department • Development of research projects and third-party funding applications (including own project) • Collaboration with publications and scientific results of the research group • Support/implementation of archaeological fieldwork in wetland and alpine archaeology (excavations, drilling and surveys in Switzerland and abroad) • Lesson of 2 courses per semester • Supervision of seminar papers, bachelor and master theses • Administrative activities Requirements • Excellent MA thesis or PhD, preferably in European Prehistoric Archaeology • Experience with archaeological fieldwork and documentation systems • Experience in climate archaeology, environmental archaeology, dendroarchaeology or paleo- or Climate science is desirable • Very good knowledge of computer-aided archaeology (statistics/data modeling) • Experience and interest in teaching • Good knowledge of German and English; Other European languages are beneficial We offer: Membership in our research group at OCCR after successful admission
