For our global Technical Operations Organization, we are currently looking for a Analytical Testing Lead / Principal Scientist (m/f/x) Fullltime / Permanent / Closing date April 17th Locations available: Bern The Opportunity This role drives the discovery and development of innovative medicines that address unmet medical needs, guiding projects from early research through clinical trials and toward global commercialization.
It ensures the highest standards of clinical safety while managing advanced research analyses, information systems, and technical documentation.
The position also supports laboratory activities and helps maintain regulatory approvals by collaborating closely with health authorities.
Additionally, it provides expert scientific guidance, implements specialized technical capabilities, and contributes to rigorous experiment planning, execution, and reporting.
The role further supports the growth of the R&D organization by training team members in key scientific and technological platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Leads the design, implementation, and optimization of advanced technical capabilities, guiding cross-functional teams to achieve complex research objectives within defined timelines
- Oversees the planning, execution, and interpretation of high-impact scientific experiments, ensuring the highest standards of scientific rigor and integrity
- Mentors and develops scientific staff, fostering technical growth and knowledge transfer across the organization
- Serves as a recognized authority in the field, contributing to scientific strategy, portfolio planning, and external collaborations
- Manages large-scale, cross-functional projects or programs with minimal oversight, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory expectations
- Solves complex, multi-dimensional problems requiring deep technical insight and cross-disciplinary collaboration
- Represents the organization in scientific forums, publications, and external partnerships, enhancing visibility and thought leadership Your skills and experience
- PhD in a scientific discipline
- Typically, 5–8 years of related experience
- Track record of scientific achievement in relevant Life Sciences discipline
- Mastery of advanced methodologies
- Oversight of research cross-functional teams and initiatives
- Setting direction for scientific programs
- Excellent communication skills (English language).
