Portrait The Education Centre Emme (bzemme) is a cantonal educational institution with locations in Burgdorf, Langnau i.E. and Oeschberg near Koppigen. Our offer includes bridge offers, basic school education in various professional fields, an apprenticeship workshop and higher vocational training courses. Around 250 teachers and employees are jointly committed to strong vocational training in the region.

The Bridge Offers department supports the vocational preparation of young people with suitable offers and accompanies their professional integration. As a result of retirement of the current job holder, we are looking for 1. August 2027 a committed personality as

Tasks

• They lead the location and product managers as well as the teachers in terms of personnel and advise them on technical and pedagogical matters.
• In cooperation with the site managers, they create the hour planning as well as the penny planning of the teachers.
• They are responsible for personnel planning, recruitment and introduction of new teachers and personnel development.
• They ensure the organisation and quality of teaching and compliance with the applicable framework conditions.
• They maintain contact with the learners, support the class teachers in demanding situations and are responsible for the disciplinary procedure.
• They continuously develop the offer and the teaching.
• They maintain contact with educational/practical partners and are involved in cross-school committees.
• They manage the budget, ensure consistent processes and work closely with the Central Services department in administration, personnel, finance and infrastructure topics.
• They represent the department in school management, participate in school development and are involved in projects and working groups.
• At best, they take on lessons and/or deputies on a small scale.

Requirements

• They have completed an educational training at the target level and have successfully taught for several years in bridge offers or at the secondary level II.
• They have a good knowledge of Transition I and experience in dealing with heterogeneity, migration and multilingualism.
• They bring leadership and creative will as well as corresponding experience. Ideally, you have already completed (school) management training.
• They communicate openly, transparently and maintain a participatory style.
• They create trust with a clear framework and appropriate scope for design.
• They deal with a wide range of requirements in a goal- and solution-oriented manner and enjoy working with different people.
• They have ideas, are proactive and want to make a difference together with their team.
• They are flexible, organizationally and conceptually strong and have a business understanding.
• They think and act networked and keep an eye on the “big picture”.
• They express themselves stylishly in German and can also talk in French and English.
