Portrait The school Allmendingen near Bern is a small village school which currently comprises a class of 20 pupils from the 1st to the 6th primary level. The children attend kindergarten and high school in the neighbouring municipality of Muri-Gümligen. The school Allmendingen supports children in shaping their lives in a self-determined and responsible way. It offers everyone a fair chance for the best possible development, forms a social center of the community and thus connects children and adults across districts and generations. Schools strengthen social belonging and participation, and age-mixed learning forms a central part of their pedagogical concept. As a result of retirement and training, a large part of the current college will foreseeably end its many years of valuable work at our school by the end of school year 26/27. We are therefore looking for a new and motivated team of teachers who also take on school management tasks. The change therefore offers the new team a lot of space for creativity and school development.

Tasks

Tasks of the teaching team with school management tasks - Pedagogical and operational management tasks:

• Ensure the educational leadership of the school and design the teaching profile according to the needs of the children.
• Supports each other and jointly advances topics on teaching and personnel development, burden-sharing, teacher conferences or further education.
• Maintains operational interfaces with the municipality, school partner communities and cantonal institutions.
• Takes responsibility for the further development of our village school in the center of the community.
• The tasks may be distributed among one or more persons in the team and the assumption of personnel responsibility shall be subdivided meaningfully with the appointing authority.

Education

• Designes the teaching and covers the wide range of subjects of the primary school level.
• Educational and administrative conduct, also partly in function as class teacher.
• Thinks, plans and teaches development-oriented and cross-level.
• Accompany the pupils in contact with their parents from entry to secondary school.

Requirements

Requirements for the teaching team - part of school management tasks:

• At least one person has or is willing to complete a completed DAS «directing schools» or equivalent education.
• Enjoy working in a small college and willingness to take responsibility and drive the joint development of the team.
• Ability and willingness to also hold challenging conversations when necessary.

Part of teaching

• Completed training as a teacher.
• Willingness to understand the heterogeneity of a multi-year class as a challenge and an opportunity.
• Ability and joy to teach as an all-rounder a wide range of subjects.
• It is a pleasure to promote and challenge students over several years.
• Inclusive thinking and action as well as the willingness to focus on the individual learning biographies of the students.
• Motivation to use the existing design space and thus support the learning path of the students in a targeted manner.
