Their tasks

As a member of the train preparation team, you make a significant contribution to operational safety and carry out technical departure or roadside inspections. You check freight wagons and cargoes and repair any damage and defects, as far as possible, independently. You carry out quality controls in accordance with AVV / UIC 471-3 (RID) and work closely with train drivers, the control centre, external partners and the employees of the shunting team. In addition, you carry out interventions on freight trains in German-speaking Switzerland.

Your profile

We are addressing a committed and team-capable personality with a high degree of solution orientation and an independent working method. Ideally, you have an apprenticeship as a visitor/car master or a comparable technical training in the railway environment. Several years of professional experience and knowledge in international freight transport are desired. You communicate safely in German, both verbally and in writing. Knowledge of Italian and French is an advantage. The readiness for shift work (24/7) and a category B driving licence are required.
