Role overview

  • Project management and active participation in investment and optimization projects in the international environment using the simultaneous engineering approach
  • Development, design, analysis and improvement of industrialization concepts and production process chains including associated cost calculations for the continuous optimization of product and production costs
  • Support for the implementation of Design for Manufacturing (DfM)
  • Designing innovative plant layouts and optimizing material flows and value flows to ensure efficient production processes
  • Evaluation and selection of suitable suppliers for industrialization as well as creation of specifications together with Process Engineering for the procurement of production facilities
  • Participation in the development of the PMO as well as a perspective assumption of additional coordination and leadership tasks in the team environment
  • Completed studies in mechatronics, mechanical engineering, automation technology or comparable, ideally paired with a business education
  • Several years of professional experience in industrial engineering, cost calculation and project management
  • In-depth knowledge in the design and optimization of industrialization concepts as well as experience with economic analysis of alternative production concepts
  • Experience in the automotive supply industry and knowledge of the standard IATF 16949 is advantageous
  • Experience in the coordination of international teams as well as ideally first leadership experience
  • Implementation-strong personality with own initiative to support in a dynamic environment
  • Analytical skills, structured and proactive working methods
  • Very good English skills in word and writing
  • Willingness to travel (about 20%) and valid driving licence category B
