Role overview

Tasks

  • They carry out all the radiological examination methods of our hospital and assess them: standard X-rays, mammography, gastrointestinal and fluoroscopic examinations, ultrasound and Doppler, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging and arthrography
  • They perform diagnostic and therapeutic interventions as well as drainages
  • You take over the professional management of the modalities assigned to you, ideally musculoskeletal imaging.
  • They advise the clinics and the assignees on the indication and choice of the examination method, lead the daily reports and participate in interdisciplinary tumor boards and case conferences
  • You supervise the assistant doctors, develop the further education concept and lead the employees directly under your supervision in terms of expertise and personnel
  • You support the chief physician in the management and further development of the institute and participate in quality assurance, radiation protection and dose optimization
  • They participate fully in the services of radiology, including late and weekend service.

Requirements

  • Radiology FMH or a foreign medical title recognised as equivalent by MEBEKO
  • Several years of experience in broad radiological diagnostics, preferably in an acute hospital with a comparable range of services
  • Sound experience in computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging as well as in diagnostic and therapeutic interventions
  • Experience in supervision and further training of assistant doctors
  • Leadership experience in a medical cadre function is advantageous
  • Open and collegial leadership style, combined with the ability to delegate responsibility, promote employees and assert themselves in difficult situations
  • Willingness to participate fully in the service system, including late and weekend service
  • Very good knowledge of German in words and writing, at least level C1, and understanding of Swiss German
