Senior Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) — Universitätsspital Basel
Role overview
Tasks: • Operation, seizure and further development of the Oracle database landscape (RAC, ASM, Data Guard) • Monitoring and control of systems by monitoring, alerting and capacity management (OEM) • Analysis and troubleshooting and performance optimization (AWR, SQL Tuning, Root-Cause analyses) • Co-responsibility for the operation of other database systems (MS SQL, MariaDB) • Development and automation of operating processes and active participation in technological development Requirements: • Complete computer science training or comparable practice with several years of experience than Oracle DBA • Deep know-how in Oracle (RAC, ASM, RMAN, Data Guard, OEM) and solid experience with Linux and Windows • Good knowledge of MS SQL Server as well as interest in Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Ansible, Terraform) and scripting (Python, PowerShell, Shell) • Experience in agile setups (ideally SAFe) and a structured, solution-oriented manner • Very good knowledge of German and English and willingness to use in marginal times We offer: • Attractive wage policy and excellent social benefits • Benefits in shopping, sports and leisure • Support for moving and housing • 25 Holiday days plus 5 also free flexitage • Support for continuing and continuing training and career planning • Campus in the heart of Basel and the Dreiländereck • Comprehensive childcare facilities • Free sports and exercise program
