Sales assistant with warehouse responsibility (a) 80% in the Basel branch — JYSK

Role overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and well-organized sales person with warehouse responsibilities to join our team in our Basel branch in Pratteln, Switzerland.

In this position, you will split your time between customer-facing sales activities and warehouse work, with approximately 80% of your responsibilities related to inventory management.

You will play a key role in ensuring efficient inventory management, accurate order fulfillment and maintaining a well-organized warehouse environment, while providing excellent customer service in sales.

• Manage inventory, including receiving, organizing and storing products in accordance with company standards and safety protocols
• Perform inventory and reconciliations to ensure inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies
• Prepare and process orders for shipment ensuring accuracy and timely fulfillment
• Safely and efficiently handle warehouse equipment and tools, including forklifts and pallet jacks as applicable
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe warehouse environment in compliance with all health and safety regulations
• Assist customers in the sales area with product inquiries, recommendations and purchases
• Accurately process transactions using point of sale (POS) systems
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs to management
• Collaborate with team members to achieve inventory and sales goals
• Perform general warehouse maintenance and cleaning tasks
