Role overview

Sobi is currently seeking a R&D and Medical Affairs (RDMA) Strategy and Portfolio Associate Director to join our RDMA Strategy and Operations (S&O) group.

The position owns the development, execution, and continuous evolution of RDMA strategy and portfolio insights, acting as a thought partner to senior RDMA leadership.

The position plays a central role in shaping portfolio‑level decisions, advancing digital and AI‑enabled capabilities, and strengthening RDMA governance and decision‑making.

Main responsibilities

  • Partner with Head of RDMA S&O to define and implement RDMA strategy
  • Lead the definition and execution of the RDMA digital and AI roadmap
  • Shape and continuously improve RDMA operating model, governance, and decision processes
  • Translate portfolio data into clear, decision‑ready insights for RDMA LT, ExCom, and Portfolio Review Committees
  • Act as RDMA strategy lead in BD scouting and due diligence, ensuring consistency, comparability, and strategic fit
  • Drive preparation of high‑impact materials for senior governance forums
  • Experience in portfolio management, R&D strategy, or enterprise‑level analytics within Pharma/Biotech
  • Proven ability to synthesize complex data into executive‑level insights and recommendations
  • Experience working with senior governance bodies (LT, ExCom, Portfolio Committees)
