Your exciting task area

• Self-responsible handling of operational purchasing processes in the ERP system – from demand recording to ordering to timely delivery
• Obtaining, comparing and evaluating offers taking into account price, quality, delivery capability and regulatory requirements
• Active monitoring of delivery dates, tracking of open orders and proactive coordination with internal suppliers and suppliers
• Procurement of raw materials, chemicals, laboratory and consumables in the pharmaceutical and quality-relevant environment
• Interface management between purchasing, quality assurance, production, laboratory, finance and suppliers to ensure smooth procurement processes
• Service-oriented advice to internal customers on prices, delivery times, sources of supply and procurement options
• Coordination and follow-up of relevant supplier documentation such as specifications, analysis certificates, BSE/TSE documents and other GMP relevant evidence
• Support for change control processes and purchase-relevant projects to ensure documented and quality-compliant changes
• Maintenance, harmonisation and continuous improvement of processes and purchasing master data
• Support of the Head of Procurement in strategic purchasing initiatives (interface between Liestal and global purchasing)

Your profile

• Commercial or technical basic training, ideally supplemented by further training in purchasing, supply chain management or a comparable area
• Several years of experience in operational purchasing, preferably in the chemical, pharmaceutical or life science industry
• Knowledge in the GMP-regulated environment or in quality-relevant procurement processes is an advantage
• Experience in change, project or improvement initiatives, in particular in the areas of process standardization, supplier consolidation, compliance or cost optimization
• Very good knowledge of German and good knowledge of English in word and writing
• Secure handling of ERP systems as well as very good user knowledge in MS Office
• Communication strength, negotiation skills and convincing behavior in dealing with suppliers, global procurement and internal specialist areas
• Team-oriented purchasing person with a high service orientation, business partner mentality and willingness to assume responsibility within the purchasing organization
• Commercial judgment, data-based decision-making and the ability to translate global purchasing strategies into local action
