- In our global production network (including Penzberg, Basel, Oceanside, Vacaville and South San Francisco), we are faced with the challenge that historical data on the volumetric mass transfer coefficient are not directly comparable due to different characterization media (e.g. pure salt solutions vs. surfactant-containing systems with poloxamer 188 and antifoams).

- Here you vary specifically power input and fumigation rate Model Creation & Model Evaluation:
- You use the generated data sets from the experiments with the various media both for the mathematical model development (determination of the correlations and key figures) and for the well-founded validation and evaluation of the model accuracy.
- You also perform an orthogonal comparison of three measurement techniques (amperometric Clark probe, optical fluorescence probe and exhaust gas analysis/OTR) Presentation of results:
- You present your findings in the MSAT team as well as to representatives of the global USP Network Team
- You are an enrolled student (m/f/d) in an advanced Bachelor's or Master's degree in Bioengineering, Process Engineering, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering or a comparable degree programme
- You have solid university knowledge of bioreactors characterization and fluid dynamics, as well as strong interest in physical chemistry and mathematical data modeling (e.g. in Python, R or JMP) Experience in practice:
