At 15 locations in Switzerland, the SBB Fire Brigade Intervention ensures that incidents are dealt with quickly and safely with 350 dedicated employees and modern emergency vehicles. We are railway specialists, train drivers and firefighters at the same time and care about the safety of our customers around the clock. Through your cooperation, you will help ensure that rail traffic runs smoothly again as quickly as possible. As part of incident management, the SBB intervention supports public emergency organizations and is actively involved in event prevention. You see irregular working hours and shift work as an advantage in order to enjoy your free time while others are working. We pay additional wages for night and weekend work, for example with an additional hourly wage of 16 francs for Sunday work. • In the event of an alarm or during exercises, as a train driver you will be deployed with your team in the fire and rescue train and ensure the safety of our customers.
• In the event of incidents that affect rail traffic, you are jointly responsible for the protection of people, animals, the environment and rail infrastructure.
• On site you ensure the safety of all travelers, fight fires on and next to the tracks, provide oil and chemical protection and technical assistance.

• You have completed a vocational apprenticeship with a federal certificate of proficiency (EFZ). You already have a driving license for locomotives in category B100 or are willing to complete the relevant internal training.
• You are suitable for respiratory protection, have experience as a firefighter and ideally also have the category C1 118 test.
• The willingness to do shift work in the 5 x 24 hour model on site is a given for you.
• You are fluent in the German language (oral and written level C1).
