The municipality of Münchenstein is a natural agglomeration community in the canton of Baselland. Although today the municipality passes almost seamlessly into the city of Basel, it has preserved its independence and its own charm and character. The primary level Münchenstein consists of 14 kindergartens and 47 school classes. The more than 1,000 students are taught by 150 teachers at five school locations. The school is supported by three school social workers, interns in the kindergarten and four civil service providers.
