Tasks
- As Head of the Foreign Relations Department, you are responsible for the basic work, advice, coordination and implementation of cantonal representation in intercantonal intergovernmental conferences and cross-border bodies.
- Its responsibilities include the coordination and implementation of the cantonal representation of interests vis-à-vis the federal level. You will participate in strategic and organizational tasks of the Landeskanzlei and the Regierungsrat.
- They directly support the members of the Government responsible for foreign policy functions in the performance of their duties.
- They coordinate the external relations of the Directorates and the State Chancellery. You regularly exchange ideas with your contacts and maintain your network.
Requirements
- They have a university degree (master level) in economics, law or political sciences or an equivalent education as well as very good knowledge of the political system in Switzerland and ideally bring with them knowledge of the structures in Germany, France and the EU.
- They have already acquired several years of relevant professional experience in public administration and in the political environment and have practical experience in managing projects and working groups.
- Independent work and self-initiative as well as a secure, diplomatic approach are among your strengths.
- They are able to deal with a wide range of tasks and diverse external contacts.
- Excellent editorial skills as well as very good knowledge of the French and English languages (verbal and written) round off your profile.
