The Position Your department

is part of the Global Supply Chain and is responsible for the storage of production materials and finished goods as well as the production supply in Germany.

Your tasks

• Feasibility Analysis & Roadmap: Preparation of a comprehensive feasibility analysis for the material flow of production supply and a strategic roadmap for implementation
• Recording of the actual state of the production supply based on material and information flow analyses
• Preparation of data sets and provision of standardized planning parameters
• Evaluation of current material stocks compared to a planned pull control concept and demonstration of action measures
• Layout optimization: Development of a proposal to optimize the unloading and buffer zones (definition of storage levels, deployment concepts and handling steps)
• Pilot concept: Development of a framework for the transport route
• GMP & Compliance Compliance: Ensuring that all new processes fully meet the requirements for temperature monitoring and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice)

Your profile

• You are an enrolled student (m/f/d) of business engineering (with a focus on logistics / production), logistics / supply chain management, business administration (with a focus on operations / supply chain), business informatics, industrial engineering or comparable technical / economics degree programs
• You have basic knowledge of lean logistics, pull control (e.g. Kanban) and intralogistics material flow
• You have a routine in dealing with data analyses to evaluate inventories and planning parameters (e.g. in Excel, R, Python or Power BI)
• Initial practical insights or a good basic understanding of regulated processes (ideally GMP / Good Manufacturing Practice) as well as for temperature-controlled logistics are desirable
• You convince us through a thorough understanding of the optimization of material flows and the efficient layout of storage and buffer zones
• Very good knowledge of MS Excel (data aggregation, pivot, formulas) and PowerPoint (to prepare the roadmap & presentations) round off your profile
• Ideally, bring You already have first knowledge of SAP (MM/PP/WM) or another common ERP system with
• You bring fluent German skills and good English skills
• You distinguish yourself through analytical and structured thinking, initiative and assertiveness at interfaces
