The Position The department and our team Diagnostic Services & Integration (DSI) is an integral part of Diagnostics R&D, bringing people together and delivering global capabilities to accelerate DIA strategy. Within our Digital Initiatives & Operational Services (DigiOps) chapter, we are responsible for the global program “Digital Lab @ RDS R&D”. Here, our focus is on central digitization solutions that we develop together with IT and make available to our customers in R&D. The most important fields are:

• electronic laboratory documentation,
• laboratory material management;
• electronic equipment management;
• Data storage and archiving.

Through these solutions, we want to support R&D in being able to focus more on science and product development. As a diverse, enthusiastic and dynamic team, we are ideally positioned for this.

What to expect

• You drive the implementation of digital tools and platforms of the Digital Lab for the entire DIA R&D organization in Germany.
• Particular attention is paid to the building projects for R&D at the Penzberg site and possibly beyond. You represent Digital Lab in the project teams / workstreams.
• You will capture necessary, digital requirements and develop associated, holistic concepts.
• Working for this You work closely with the laboratory users, analyze/record the work processes and give recommendations on how the digital components can be used in daily work. This ensures applicability and acceptance. Here you apply the principles of “Organizational Change Management” (OCM).
• Together with the representatives of the respective chapters, you plan and organize the roll-out of the software.
• In your local role for Germany, you are part of the global DigitalLab team.

Who you are

• You have successfully completed a master’s degree in science, engineering or a related field.
• In addition, bring You have more than 5 years of experience in the laboratory environment in the biotechnology industry or a related field in the development environment.
• Your strength lies in taking responsibility for technical and organizational content within the matrix organization. You can contribute your scientific or engineering expertise.
• We can build on your knowledge in project management and your experience in the application of agile methods.
• It is also important for you to be able to apply your experience in cooperation with cross-functional teams in different countries and specialist areas in this role.
• Practical experience in the field of digital laboratory applications is the basis for you in this function.
• You have the ability to communicate effectively in German and English with colleagues at all levels of the organization.

The position is to be filled on a temporary basis for 3 years.
