The Position

As an employee: in the circle “Health Protection” you work in the area “Safety and health protection” of the locations Basel / Kaiseraugst. The "Safety and Health Protection" district has the purpose of "Advice in the field of health protection and safety of employees - for the prevention of occupational illnesses and accidents at the workplace". As an employee: in the field of ergonomics, you work in an interdisciplinary team. They are the interface between employees, production, building industry and IT. The area of responsibility includes the implementation of ergonomic consultations and risk analyses, the supervision of training programmes and the management of digital innovations in the health sector.

The possibility

• Risk determination in work area analyses according to legal requirements as well as adaptation of processes and work equipment
• Preparation and implementation of training, training and group consulting on ergonomic topics
• Implementation of individual ergonomic consultations and adjustments (secondary prevention) as well as maintenance of the catalogue of tools
• Training, support and quality control of ErgoPartners: inside as multipliers on site (primary prevention)
• Ergonomic evaluation and support for workplace effectiveness initiatives, construction projects, renovations and modernizations
• Preparation of communication materials, maintenance of website content and implementation of prevention campaigns
• Technical advice to the IT department regarding ergonomic tools and equipment, further evaluation, piloting and implementation of digital tools and AI-supported systems for risk analysis
• Active exchange in global and local networks to promote best practice sharing

Who you are

• You have completed vocational training or studies in health and safety with a focus on ergonomics (e.g. physio/occupational therapy, occupational sciences, safety engineering) and at least 2–3 years of professional experience in ergonomics.
• Special industry knowledge is available because you have in-depth knowledge in physical ergonomics (work postures, load handling, repetitive activities, workplace design) and ideally have a CAS in Ergonomics/Human Factors (or the willingness to complete this part-time).
• For this role, fluent German and negotiation-proof English skills in words and writing are necessary in order to move safely in the local and global environment.
• Your way of working is independent, efficient and well organized, always acting proactively and decisively.
• You show a very high willingness to provide services and consulting skills and are aware of your responsibility in representing ergonomic standards in a complex matrix environment.
• You act proactively by showing a willingness to learn for innovative and digital technologies, identifying ergonomic risks at an early stage and optimizing processes sustainably.
• As a customer-oriented, assertive and communicative personality, you show methodological and didactic competence in training, are capable of teamwork and sociable at all levels.
