Main responsibilities

  • As a Corporate M&A Analyst, you will support the Corporate Strategy and M&A team in a variety of strategic and operational tasks.
  • You will gain comprehensive insight into the full M&A lifecycle while engaging in collaboration across ABB's diverse business functions.
  • Support in implementing group-wide M&A governance model
  • Assist in the rollout of a bolt-on deal prioritization tool
  • Manage the deal opportunity pipeline and coordinate with Business Area/Division Strategy teams to identify acquisition targets and divestment opportunities
  • Track and report on M&A pipeline and deal economics; support implementation of a common platform for opportunity and deal status monitoring
  • Help provide visibility on functional M&A resource loading, availability, and allocation
  • Support Corporate M&A deal execution efforts and assist in preparing M&A-related presentations for internal and external stakeholders
  • Stay informed on M&A market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments Your

Key requirements

  • We are aiming to identify a meticulous and inquisitive candidate who is invested in corporate strategy and M&A.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field
  • 1–3 years of experience in investment banking, corporate development, or a similar field
  • Understanding of financial modeling and valuation techniques
  • Proficient analytical, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to thrive in a demanding, high-stakes environment
  • A collaborative attitude and adeptness in engaging effectively with a variety of individuals
  • Location: Zurich, Switzerland, eligibility for Swiss work permit is a pre-requisite.
