Our Facility Services for Science and Teaching (FaST) organization unit supports research with centralized sterilization and dishwashing areas as well as technical support for scientific equipment and infrastructure. Project background The Facility Services for Science and Teaching (FaST) team at ETH Zurich's D-BSSE supports research through central sterilization and dishwashing areas as well as technical support for laboratory infrastructure. In this position, you contribute to ensuring a smooth operation of our modern laboratories by performing sterilization, cleaning and maintenance of scientific devices professionally. Their work thus makes a direct contribution to research in system and synthetic biology at the Basel site. Description In your role, our infrastructure team supports you in a modern and dynamic environment focusing on system and synthetic biology. Your tasks include:

• Sterilization and cleaning: machine and professional washing and sterilization of laboratory dishes, inactivating biological samples and handling of biological waste (up to safety level 2) in central sterilization.
