The Paediatric Research Centre conducts and conducts clinical trials in a variety of disciplines. With us, you can expect varied, responsible and independent work in a dynamic research environment. Appreciation, promotion and the continuous development of your professional and personal skills are of great importance to us. In order to strengthen our motivated and collaborative team, we are looking for a committed person for a part-time job (30-40%) with pleasure in laboratory work, scientific curiosity and an independent working method. New entrants are also welcome and are carefully introduced to their tasks. The job is initially limited to one year, with the possibility of an extension.

Their tasks

• Independent preparation, implementation and documentation of routine laboratory work such as sampling and processing for a paediatric biobank
• Cooperation in the further development and optimization of our newly created biobank
• Support for various laboratory work within ongoing research projects, for example: ELISA, Quantitative PCR (qPCR) and other molecular biological and immunological methods
• Careful documentation and quality assurance of laboratory processes
• Close cooperation with researchers and study coordinators
• Possibility for professional development and assumption of additional tasks according to qualifications and interests

Your profile

• Completed training as a laboratory expert, biomedical analyst (BMA), medical-technical laboratory assistant (MTLA) or comparable qualification
• Experience in general laboratory organisation and handling of biological samples is beneficial
• Ideally experience in a research or university laboratory
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel)
• Independent, reliable and careful working methods
• Quick understanding and own initiative
• Enjoyment of interdisciplinary and collegial cooperation
• Good knowledge of German and English in word and writing
