The Position Foodlicious is our daily business Taverne Roche has grown into a successful catering company in the field of community gastronomy over 30 years. Tavero AG is a 100% subsidiary of F. Hoffmann-La Roche. At our locations in Basel and Kaiseraugst, we employ around 350 people from over 37 nations. Our offer includes both staff restaurants that live variety and fine dining restaurants with upscale cuisine and excellent service. In addition, we offer restaurants with delicacies from all over the world, coffee in all variants, charmed by our baristi, as well as the highest lounges in Switzerland – fantastic afterwork spots above the rooftops of the city. Grab'n'Go offerings from sushi to burgers and the first and only club in Roche's history complement our offering. In addition, we offer our guests meeting room and event catering for up to 1,500 people. The public restaurants, the Schöpfli in the park and the Chez Jeannot in the Museum Tinguely, round off our offer. We are looking for an assistant cook for Tavero AG in Basel.

Your tasks

• Cold or hot kitchen, free flow or staff restaurant
• Timely preparation of food according to the Tavero recipes
• Preparatory work and ongoing filling of Mise en Place
• Provision of deliveries for our field offices
• Friendly and competent information to guests at your point of sale or expense
• Careful and responsible use of equipment, machinery and food
• Implementation of new work instructions according to internal training
• Support for special events and events
• Economic work to achieve the goals of the company

Your professional l

• Completed training as a kitchen employee:r EBA (desirable) or professional experience in the kitchen
• Joy of cooking and dealing with food
• You have an independent working method and take responsibility
• Teamwork and reliability are a matter of course for you
• You have knowledge of Swiss food legislation
• You are flexible and ready for occasional evening and weekend assignments
• You have a good knowledge of German in word to be able to competently advise your customers
• In a digital world, we also want a secure handling of computer programs (MS Office)
