Paediatric oral, maxillofacial and maxillofacial surgery at UKBB deals in particular with congenital malformations in the oral, maxillofacial and head deformities. Through our close cooperation with the University of Basel and our proximity to globally leading life science companies, we are part of an innovative knowledge transfer at the highest level in research, teaching and patient care. From 1 December 2026 we are looking for 12 months at the University Children's Hospital of Basel (UKBB) and the pediatric oral, maxillofacial and maxillofacial surgery there: 10% scientific assistance (HIWI) - working day Monday.

Date of entry: as of 1. December 2026

Their tasks

• Administrative support in a special consultation of paediatric oral, maxillofacial and facial surgery for head deformities
• Active participation in the consultation hours every Monday
• Organization and coordination of appointments in consultation, electronic document archiving
• Assistance with the measurements of the head and the creation of 3D scans
• Creation of office hours reports and billing of the services provided
• Data input and care in software for electronic health records (REDCap)
• Flexible job sharing on Mondays with further scientific assistance 10%

Your profile

• Preferably a student at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Basel with an interest in insight into the University Clinic
• Joy and experience in dealing with infants
• Resilient, flexible and team capable personality
• Accurate and structured working method
• Stylistic German, good knowledge of a second national language and English
