The Migration Office operates daily in the exciting political environment of all migration issues. We are responsible for the permits under foreigners law, enforce the Swiss alien and asylum law, issue the biometric Swiss passports and foreigner ID cards and provide care and integration in our asylum centres.

What to expect

• You make sure that during the night and on weekends a regulated center operation and an orderly community life is ensured.
• You take on a variety of care and employment tasks
• You plan and conduct activities for children and adults
• In emergency situations, act calmly and prudently, alert and work with rescue workers if necessary
• You offer support in the center operation
• Working hours: Employee security and support cover the entire time outside regular office opening hours. This means:
• Days of the week: from 16:00 – 23:00 / 24:00 with subsequent overnight stay in the asylum centre and active working hours the next morning from 07:00 – 08:15
• Weekend and public holidays: day and night service possible

What distinguishes you

• Completed training as a specialist (FaBe) or an equivalent qualification or Training (e.g. migration specialist) in education, care, teaching or counselling
• Strong social skills, resilience and safe presence in challenging situations
• Knowledge of German at least C1 level
• Category B driving licence
• Foreign language skills are an advantage
