## The opportunity As a Transport, Trade & Logistics Specialist Domestic at HITACHI ENERGY LTD, you will be responsible for the efficient and compliant movement of goods within national borders, ensuring timely delivery, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to all domestic transportation and trade regulations. ## How you'll make an impact - Plan, organize, and monitor domestic transportation of goods, including selection of carriers, negotiation of rates and optimization of routes to minimize costs and maximize efficiency - Prepare and process all necessary documentation for domestic shipments, such as packing lists and forwarding orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness - Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., production, sales, warehousing) and external stakeholders (e.g., carriers or customers) to ensure smooth logistics operations - Track and trace domestic shipments, proactively identifying and resolving any delays, issues, or discrepancies - Manage and maintain relationships with domestic carriers and logistics service providers, evaluating performance and ensuring adherence to service level agreements - Ensure compliance with all relevant domestic transportation laws, regulations, and company policies - Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives for domestic logistics processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs and improve service levels - Handle domestic freight claims and resolve shipping discrepancies with carriers - Participate in logistics-related projects and initiatives as required ## Your background - Swiss Apprenticeship or Higher Education (in the area of transport) - Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in domestic transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment - Strong understanding of domestic transportation modes and their associated regulations - Proficiency in logistics software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP) - Good negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal in German and English - Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment - Good analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail - Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) - Knowledge of dangerous goods regulations for domestic transport is a plus ## More about us - Our flexible working practices help you optimize personal and business performance while creating an environment where all employees can develop their skills and grow
